    - Properties of linoleic acid
  • Polyunsaturated fatty acid belonging to the omega 6 family. it is an "essential" fatty acid.
  • A deficiency in omega 6 can lead to intense skin dryness and allergies.
  • At the cutaneous level, this fatty acid is part of the composition of ceramides. It participates in the reconstitution of epidermal lipids and intervenes in membrane fluidity.
  • Linoleic acid helps limit water loss from the skin while presenting softening and nutritive qualities.
  • Tocopherols and tocotrienols (Vitamin E) : about 1000 mg/kg (powerful antioxidants).
  • Sterols (about 10 g/kg) : beta-sitosterol, campesterol, stigmasterol.
